Maltby Intermediate (5th )
This year Sarah will be working with Enrichment and Magnet students at Hawkins Elementary weekly, Monday through Thursday, and Enrichment students at Maltby on Fridays.
Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Elementary Education and master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Wayne State University. She has been teaching for twenty-two years in grades second through sixth grade.
Sarah is married and has a son and daughter, stepdaughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren.
Maltby Intermediate (5th)
Kim will be working with students in Academic Enrichment and Magnet students in mathematics at Hilton Elementary Monday through Thursday. On Friday, she will be working with 5th graders at Maltby Intermediate.
Kim earned her Bachelors of Science from Michigan State University and her Master's degree in Elementary Technology. She has been teaching for 14 years in grades first through sixth. Kim is married and has three children.
Maltby Intermediate (5th/6th)
Catherine will be working with students in Academic Enrichment and Magnet students in mathematics at Hornung Elementary Monday through Thursday. Twice a week and for a full day on Fridays she will be providing support services to sixth grade cluster teachers and working with fifth graders at Maltby Intermediate School.
Catherine earned her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Masters degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University. She has been teaching for sixteen years in grades 1st through 6th, and spent the past eight of those as one of the two sixth grade magnet cluster teachers.
She is married with three children, two dogs, and eight fish.
Magnet Extension (2nd-4th)
Gillian will be working with Academic Enrichment students Monday through Thursday at Spencer Elementary. She will also be working with Spencer's Magnet students Monday through Friday.
She is originally from Brighton and is Spencer alumni and graduated from BHS! She earned her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and Master's in Education from Coastal Carolina University. She is certified to teach the Academically Gifted and Talented, and has earned her National Board Certification. She has been teaching for 14 years.
Gillian is married and has three sons.
